To navigate you can use the following:
left and right: use the bottom slider and click the OK button in the middle.
Keys: right left arrows and space

To set a waypoint use the right slider. as the ship reaches the waypoint, it will alter the course to the value you have set.
Keys: up down arrows

To set speed use the machine telegraph.
Keys: 1 to 9
